I would recommend Satish and the Nireka Adventures team to anyone thinking of trekking in Nepal, whether a first timer like me or an experienced campaigner. When I return, I will definitely be travelling with Nireka again.

Our trip involved three parts. Firstly a trek to Panch Pokari followed by a walk on village trails to the village of Thulo Botang to start the second part. There we stayed for five nights and assisted the local school and community in a variety of projects. The third part was walking out on village trails to reach the bus stop to allow us to return to Kathmandu. All this in perfect early winter weather. We were therefore in the extremely capable of hands of Satish and his Nireka Adventures staff for about three weeks. This multi-faceted trip was extremely well organised. The staff to trekker ratio was extremely generous and the service provided by the trekking crew was excellent. From the wake up cup of tea, the delicious meals and snacks, the friendly team carrying virtually all our personal gear and all group equipment, the expert guiding, nothing could be faulted. Every day was a delight. I would recommend Satish and the Nireka Adventures team to anyone thinking of trekking in Nepal, whether a first timer like me or an experienced campaigner. When I return, I will definitely be travelling with Nireka again.

To whom it may concern. Last year I undertook a 32 day trek with Satish Man Pati and his team from Nireka Expeditions Adventures. The trek was stunning, starting in Tumlingtar and working its way into the Khumbu. On the way we climbed Mera Peak, at nearly 6,500 metres and despite deep snow and difficult conditions, Satish and his wonderful guides assisted us to the top. Even when the earthquake hit and we had to change our route for the last few days, Satish came up with great alternative routes and was able to reorganise transport and get us back to Kathmandu safely. I cannot complement Satish and his crew highly enough. The food was excellent, the trek was magnificent and even in the face of considerable stress, confusion and possible danger due to the earthquake, the whole team performed magnificently. Thank you again Satish.

I had always dreamed of seeing Mt. Everest in person, in all her glory, towering among her neighbors. I was able to make a trip to Nepal in 2012 with my sister-in-law, but due to monsoon season, our trek was kept to lower altitudes; as a result, we weren't able to see Mt. Everest. As I flew out of Kathmandu on that August morning in 2012, I told myself, "I'll be back. And I'll be back to see Mt. Everest." Four short years later my 18-year-old son and I were able to return in March of 2016 to make the trek to Everest Base Camp. While I was certain that I would be back to Nepal, I was also just as certain that we would work with Nireka Adventures again. We were introduced to Satish through a family member in 2012 and from our first contact, Satish and his staff took extraordinary care of us. From planning and dates and packing to passports and visas and immunizations, Satish answered every question thoroughly, and I felt completely at ease knowing that I had what I needed to make the trip successful. Our guides for the two trips, Tanka and Dilli, were knowledgeable of their homeland and fielded an unending barrage of questions. Our porters and cooks, Khem, Dilip, Yam and Ramesh, treated us like royalty, making sure we were comfortable at all times. We learned so much from them, and they were able to show us the true fabric of Nepal and her people. No matter where we were, we were always greeted warmly and treated kindly. The trip to Everest Base Camp was much more physically taxing, but Dilli was constantly checking in with us to see how we were feeling, to make sure we were getting enough to eat and drink and to keep us motivated when the trail was getting a bit long or a bit steep. He is one of the most humble and endearing men I've met. And although Satish wasn't able to be with us on our second trip, he was in constant contact with us to ensure things were running smoothly. We were able to meet Satish on our last day in Kathmandu and we had a very long talk about Nepal. It was humbling to hear the connection he has with his home and her people. Satish and Dilli were able to send us off at the airport with hugs, handshakes and prayers. They also made us promise that we would come back. This was not an unreasonable request, and I can absolutely see myself back there in the future to see even more of the country. I can also guarantee that I will be in contact with Satish at Nireka Adventures again, too, to set up our next adventure in Nepal.

Friends had done a Manasulu trek with Satish and came back with rave reviews plus a plan to do Tilman Pass with him. This was a difficult trip, culminating in unstable moraine field crossings and  a 5200 m pass over a glacier with ropes and crampons, not to be taken lightly by couples in their early 60s. We were experienced bush walkers, but certainly not mountaineers, but had faith given what we had heard about Satish. Everything we had heard was fulfilled and then some. Satish's professionalism and attention to detail instilled great confidence in us all. Safety took absolute priority, from acclimatisation, to rope training and the execution of the final ascent and descent. Satish and his wonderful team worked tirelessly to ensure we had a great time. Camp and food hygiene was meticulous, and the food quite amazing given we were over 2 weeks camping in wilderness areas. It's hard to imagine how anything could have been done better.

When a friend came up with a plan to do Mt Kailash via Shimikot and then travel on to Lhasa I was keen to sign up. Then, with 2 weeks notice, the Chinese government mandated that no visas for Tibet would be issued for the time of our travel. We had tickets booked so asked Satish if he could come up with an alternative. In no time he came up with a plan to trek through Upper Dolpo. In an amazingly short time Satish arranged flights and visas plus staff and provisions. This was a an amazing experience.
