Day thirty three, four and five 4th May - 5 May. I had a good rest and recover after camp three rotation at Lukla. This days weather at Lukla is bad with constant rain all the time. Most of the time I was either eating or sleeping.
Day thirty six 6 May late evening me, Sobit and another friend flew to Base camp. Sobit flew the helicopter and managed to land at the Basecame despite bad weather. On arrival we were informed that Bahrain team was planning to push for summit and Sobit decided to join the team. I helped him pack and organized things for him. He left early in the morning at 1am for base camp so I woke up to wish him luck. My Lhotse summit push is still on hold because ropes were not fixed. Everest expedition is planning to summit on 11 May and first team summited on 11 May. Also 12 May team went for summit. Although climbers did succeed, the weather went bad from afternoon onwards. From our team we lost two climbers and had few cases of frostbite, so everyone at basecamp is very sad. From 13th May weather went from bad to worse with high speed winds. To keep staying at base camp is very tiring so every alternative day I hike towards Gorekchep, Pumori high camp and to Pumori view point.
I was supposed to go summit from 16 May but unfortunately weather stated to change again so now we do not have weather window till 22 May so lots of waiting. I do not know when to start. Thank you 🙏 till next..
20th May - Luckly the weather imporoved and now leaving tonight for summit push. Following is my plan for the next few days.
20 May camp 2
21 May camp 3
22 May camp 4 same night 12 / 1 am summit push
23 May summit and try to back all the way camp 2
24 May base camp.
