About Wiebke Nedel
Wiebke, originally from Germany lives in South Africa, and works as a free-lance
facilitator worldwide. She devotes her work and life to the field of personal
development and leadership in a global context. Since 2014 Wiebke has spent many months every year in Nepal.
She has a MA in Education (Germany), is a trained Wilderness, Mountain and Vision Quest
guide (South Africa/USA) with 20 years of facilitation experience with youth and adults
in many countries worldwide.
Wiebke’s passion is the development and facilitation of global learning programmes on
Social Justice.
As International Programme Manager for the non-profit NGO Educo Africa
www.educo.org.za and Director of the Educo International Alliance
www.educointernational.com she invites groups of academics, professionals and youth from
all over the world to South Africa focusing on deep immersion into issues of local and
global social and environmental justice with the aim to build conscious global citizens,
and self-aware and globally trained academics and practitioners.
Experiential methodology, using the wilderness as a tool for growth, self-recognition and
building cross-cultural and cross-national relationships, deep diving into communities
on a grass root level as well as multi stakeholder engagements are the significant
learning tools applied in her programs.
Wiebke is also affiliated with a number of local and global transformative
organisations. She is an associate facilitator for Leaders’ Quest (London, New York &
Mumbai) www.leadersquest.org and Jump! Foundation www.jumpfoundation.org
(Beijing/Bangkok) and Rim of Africa www.rimofafrica.org (South Africa) to name a few.
