Overview

Manaslu Trekking following the remote trails around the Manaslu massif has only been opened and is less frequented trekking. This trekking has always been the domain of the mountaineering expeditions. Manaslu (8156 m.) was attempted by Japanese expeditions every year from 1952-1956 when the first ascent was made. Manaslu came is known as Japanese Mountain.
Manaslu trekking is another interesting and challenging trekking in Nepal. The peaks of the Ganesh Himal looms high to the Budhi Gandaki. We enter wild gorgeous country side that cuts between Ganesh (7429 m.) and Himalchuli (7893 m.), where villages are linked by precipitous trails that make few concessions to the knees! When Ascending, we gain our first views of Manaslu (8156 m.) while the stone shrines and the monasteries reflect the region’s ancient Buddhist heritage.
The approach to the Larkya La (5153 m.) is demanding, but from the pass we are rewarded with unsurpassed views of the summit ridges of Mt. Manaslu and Himlung Himal. From here it is a steep descent to the Marsyandi valley and the well defined trails around Annapurna that finally lead back to the road head to Pokhara or Kathmandu.

Price Includes

Arrival & Departure: Airport - Hotel transfers – Airport (Pick Up and Drop).
Hotel Accommodation in Kathmandu: 4 nights hotel accommodation (3-star category) in Kathmandu on BB plan- Sharing Twin Bed Room.
Welcome Dinner: One Welcome Dinner in tourist standard restaurant in Kathmandu with Office’s Staffs.
Cargo Clearance: International Air cargo clearance of Member Personal Luggage & Payment of Government taxes in Nepal. *before the expedition.
Permit: Expedition Royalty and permit of Nepal Government to climb Mt.National Park permit & fee.
Liaison Officer: 1 Government Liaison officer with full equipment, salary and accommodation.
Garbage Management: Stool Shipment Transfer & Garbage Deposit fees.
Insurance: Medical & Emergency rescue Insurance for all involved Nepalese staffs during the trek and expedition.

Member transportation: -Air Transportation (Domestic Flight and Domestic transportation to the starting and Ending point.
Expedition Stuffs Transportation: Necessary all equipment Transportation for all Members and Staffs from Kathmandu to Destinations(by air cargo/vehicle) and to Base camp (by Jeep and Porters) – While returning: Base camp to (by porters and Jeep) and Ending place to Kathmandu (by air cargo/vehicle). -Member’s personal equipment will be transport by air.
Member Luggage: Up to 60 Kg per member for personal baggage during the trek carrying by porter or Yak.
Food and Lodging: 3 meals a day (BLD; including tea and coffee) along with accessible accommodation at Hotel/Lodge/Tea house/Camp during the trek and BC. Well-managed base camp set up for member & Staffs. Kailas or the north face tents will be set up while camping in sharing basis.
All Necessary equipment for Camping during the trek.
Porter: Porters per member up to Base camp from Num & Porters return from Base camp to Num.
Base Camp Staff: Experienced and well-trained Base Camp Cook & kitchen Helpers as required.
Staff Salary and allowance: All Nepalese staffs & porter’s daily wages, equipment, food & clothing.
Base Camp Tent: Each member will have individual Yak Mountain or Kailas tent in Base Camp.
Base Camp equipment: At Base camp: foam mattresses and pillow per member, 1 Dinning Tent, 1 Kitchen Tent, 1 Communication tent, 1 Toilet & 1 Shower Tent, 1 Staffs Tent, 1 Tent for Nepalese base camp staffs, Store tents, Tables & chairs & all necessary cooking gears.
Heater: Heater for base camp in each Dining and other necessary camp.
Solar/Generator/Light: 1 Solar panel or Generator for battery charge and light at base camp for use.
Climbing Sherpa Salary & Allowance: Climbing Sherpa Salary, Equipment, Food and Clothing.
Oxygen Bottle (O2): Summit Oxygen cylinder: 3 oxygen bottles (4 ltrs.) for each member and 2-oxygen bottles for each high-altitude Sherpa.
Oxygen Mask & Regulator: 1 Set of Summit Oxygen mask & regulator for each member and high-altitude Sherpa.
Back up Oxygen Cylinder, mask and regulator (with appropriate charge).
High camp service: High Altitude Tent, Necessary cooking EPI gas, cooking pot for member, High food for member, Sherpa, all climbing and cooking crew. (C1) (C2) (C3) (C4). Group climbing gears, fixed and dynamic rope during the climbing period as required.
Rope Fixing Team: The team of experienced Sherpas will fix the route on Makalu (no extra charge will be applied to members).
Satellite Phone for emergency communication carrying by Sherpa, also available for members with appropriate charge.
Walkie-Talkie: Walkie –Talkie for communicating from Base Camp to Mountain and Mountain to Base Camp.
Permit: Satellite Phone / walkie-talkie permit for all members and staffs.
Weather Forecast: Weather forecast report from Meteotest, Bern (Switzerland) during the entire expedition.
Comprehensive Medical kit.
Certificate: Mountain climbing certificate issued by MoCTCA (after summit mountain successfully).

Price Excludes

Air Fare: International flight airfare (from and to Kathmandu).
Nepal entry Visa fee: Nepali Visa fee US$ 60 per person for 30 days (to be applied for 60 days (USD$ 120)
Lunch & Dinner: Lunch & dinner in during the stay in Kathmandu (also in case of early return from Trekking / Expedition than the scheduled itinerary).
Extra night in Kathmandu: Extra nights’ accommodation in Kathmandu. In case of early arrival or late departure, early return from Trekking / Expedition (due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary.
Insurance: Travel and high-altitude insurance, accident, Helicopter medical & emergency evacuation. *Mandatory
Rescue Evacuation: Medical and emergency rescue evacuation cost if required. (Rescue, Repatriation, Helicopter, Medication, Medical Tests and Hospitalization costs.)
Personal Expenses: Telephone Calls, Internet, Toiletries, battery recharge, hot shower, laundry, soft drinks, beers and any Alcoholic beverages (during the trek and in Kathmandu but we will serve all kinds of beverages for members in base camp).

What do we need for trekking in Nepal?

Good boots, warm clothes (we provide a packing list for each trek) and your own day pack. We provide a lot of the gear that you will need up in the mountains. Please be in touch for more info.

What size are the groups?

For our upcoming treks the groups vary between 4 to 12 people. Private trekking parties group sizes are not limited.

I'm not fit, can I still trek?

Treks can be customised to suit your trekking capabilities.

I'm travelling on my own, can you assist?

Most definitely. You are welcome to join our pre-planned treks, or if you wish to trek on your own, we can arrange a porter and guide to accompany you.

What are the costs for your treks?

Each trek or expedition will be priced individually depending on group size, duration of trek, whether it is a tent or tea house trek, whether domestic flights or jeep transport is included.

How do I choose which trek is for me?

When choosing a trek consider if you wish to stay in a tea house or tent, what altitude you feel comfortable with, do you wish to participate in mountaineering or climb a peak? Use the filters on our listings pages to filter the available treks.

How do I prepare for altitude?

The secret to altitude is time. The golden rule for acclimatization at high altitude states that one should start acclimatizing at +/-10,000 feet (3,000 meters) above the sea level. Once you reach that altitude, it is recommended that you increase the elevation of your stay at no more than 1,000 feet (300 meters) per night before you continue to ascend. Resting overnight at 1,000 feet (300 meters) elevation increase each day will help your body to acclimatize naturally.
